Guatemala “Gardenistas”

GUATEMALA “GARDENISTAS”

Guatemala Gardenista Trips are offered annually through A&M Garden Club for gardening experts and enthusiasts from Texas. We have been traveling to Guatemala during the past 5 years, but our 2020 trip has been postponed because of the Pandemic. We will be ready to once again offer this wonderful opportunity when it is safe to travel again.

So… what do we do in Guatemala?

We enjoy visits to luscious gardens, greenhouses, plantations & nurseries to learn about coffee, avocado, macadamia, landscape plants, flowers & vegetables. We go on day trips to visit the Spanish-colonial city of Antigua (a UN World Heritage site) and its beautiful gardens, museums, Church ruins, and artisan markets. Assist garden club members with a gardening session with Mayan kids and interact with Mayan families. We visit Mayan archaeological sites and the breath-taking Lake Atitlan, surrounded by volcanoes. We enjoy farm-to-table meals and cooking lessons. All logistics and activities in country are coordinated by our group leaders, so travelers can enjoy their stay!

See attached brochure for further details, and let us know if you are interested in joining us in the future.
