WELCOME TO A&M GARDEN CLUB 

A&M Garden Club promotes the love of gardening, floral design, horticulture, civic responsibility, landscaping, environmental concerns and garden therapy for men, women and children and encourages participation and support in educational programs for both the very young and advanced students.  It is the purpose of this organization to preserve, protect and conserve the natural resources of this country, and to maintain and enhance the beauty of our lands.  Federated in 1937, we are proud members of National Garden Clubs, Texas Garden Clubs, Inc., District V, and South-Central Region, and actively support their programs.

Traditionally Garden Clubs federated with National Garden Clubs don’t officially meet in June, July and August, but even when it is too hot to be outside digging in the dirt, we have activities for our members to enjoy!!!

September 17, Possible pilgrimage to Antique Rose Emporium with G.I.G. members,  to be discussed at August Membership Social – stay tuned!!!!   
September 27 – Coffee Social.  IHOP, 758 North Earl Rudder Freeway, Bryan.  9:30 am, “come and go”.

OCTOBER CALENDAR EVENTS
October 11, AMGC Regular Meeting 9:30 am at Peach Lutheran Church, 2201 Rio Grande Blvd, CS – 9:30 Program by Marie Jenkins, Horticulturist/Display Gardens Manager Antique Rose Emporium on “Roses are Herbs Too!”. 
October 19.  Fall Festival at The Gardens at A&M.  Activities for the kids.   
October 30 – All members are encouraged to attend the District V Fall Meeting in Georgetown – watch for the registration form, sign up and come with us for a fun day out!

NOVEMBER CALENDAR EVENTS
November 1 – Texas Arbor Day.  Richard Carter Park, College Station – Tree Planting in memory of member Martha Green 1941 – 2023.  Details TBA
November 8 – AMGC Regular Meeting 9:30 am at Peace Lutheran Church, 2201 Rio grande, CS – 9:30 Program by Rom Billings, TEEX Forest Service, Arborist Emeritus on “Tree Tips & Seasonal Photography”.  
November (date & details TBA) Pilgrimage to Kim’s Home & Garden Center and Mansion in Huntsville, 2715 Lake Road.) Car-pool will be available. .
